Walking along the corridors, we love our own pace
and what if towards the end there’s somebody’s face?
Shooing, staring and what not - to make us go straight
It’s a punishment to keep following someone’s ace.
Strategies brainstormed and blueprints made
Severities described and policies imbibed
There they are with deafening voices
Shooing, staring and what not – to make us learn right.
Years it takes and dares it needs to choose
the road so not commonly taken by
wanting so badly to hear the passers-by
Shooing, staring and what not – to make the life so bright
Missing the faces, running the races, all for life
Badly to know that it was our teachers who thrived
Shooing, staring and what not – just to guide us towards the light
For they only believed in us to become the future sunlight.
